A portrait of a plant, in this series of large Iris Paintings, Sophie captures the majesty and elegance of the Iris, almost as if she has painted the personality of each flower. This Iris Superstition, is arguably the most traditional colour associated with the flower, and captures the deep purple, indigo hues that runs almost black in parts. Waterfall like petals and crown like upper parts reflect these magnificent blooms.
