A handcrafted 100% silk fabric created by master weavers in Myanmar. This exquisite design honours heritage motifs from the Burmese Acheik textile tradition, with patterns dating back over a thousand years. It is meticulously woven on a village frame loom in Sagaing State, using a highly skilled process that involves 100 shuttles. Today, only a few artisans remain who can execute this level of intricate craftsmanship.

Turquoise Mountain is working to preserve and protect this exceptional weaving technique and to celebrate the rich visual heritage of Acheik.

They are collaborating with women weavers across Myanmar’s ethnic groups, recognising and supporting both their artistic skill and the strong sense of community and identity reflected in their textiles. Their charitable mission helps these weavers earn a sustainable income and contributes to preserving Myanmar’s diverse textile traditions.
