Handwoven Silk Cushion by Mai – Kachin Design

This fabric is handcrafted by Mai, a master weaver from the Kachin ethnic group in northern Myanmar. Woven on a traditional frame loom at the Hka Hku workshop in Myitkyina, the design reflects the cultural identity and heritage of the Kachin community.

We are collaborating with women weavers across Myanmar’s ethnic groups, celebrating not only their exceptional craftsmanship but also their sense of community and identity. Our charitable mission helps these weavers earn a sustainable income and contributes to preserving Myanmar’s diverse textile traditions.
